The women talk about it in the last 15 minutes or so. Who knows, maybe Steffi has friends who struggle with their weight and is speaking on their behalf. It's just interesting that she brought up that point.

To all who listened to the program, what were your thoughts about it besides the toilet incident? The saddest part of the show might've been when the co-hosts were talking about how women always compete against each other. During that conversation, Steffi chimed in and brought up how they often think another girl is skinnier than them. I hope Steffi doesn't do that, because I have a message for her if she does: YOU'RE. NOT. FAT. By a long shot. You don't have to be a rail like the anorexic girls in Hollywood, and curves are a good thing! I also got a little upset when I was watching the show, but I didn't realize why until the next day. Girls, be direct and honest with your boyfriends. If you want something in particular for V-Day, don't beat around the bush and then get mad when he doesn't get it for you. Playing games with your guy isn't cute or clever--it's insecure and insulting. Had I realized what bothered me, I would've called in. The most surprising part of the show was that the women who talked about politics seemed to be middle-of-the-road. Maybe it's just because they only spoke on two issues (environment/global warming and gov't involvement with parenting), but I still thought it would've been different, being eastern Canada and all. i really like you, idolcynic. speak your mind. tell us what you have to say. and for god's sake, speak out on behalf of all the men out there

oh, and i've never gotten the impression from steffi that she thinks she's fat or anything like that... and although i don't know this for sure, i can almost guarantee you she's referring to a friend.

That's good to hear, combatbaby. American Idol's Katharine McPhee had bulimia, and a lot of girls struggle with doubts about their bodies. By judging from Steffi's clothing choices, she doesn't seem the type who'd obsess over society's views on the "perfect" way to look.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the impression that Broadway would be less likely than Hollywood to make women starve themselves for roles. I wouldn't want Steffi to fall into that temptation.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "judging from Steffi's Clothing Choices, she doesnt seem the type to obsess over society's views on the "perfect" way to look? Like, did you mean that like she seems confident enough to dress the way she wants?

Correct me if im wrong but I think what he meant was if steffi wanted to have that 'perfect' look she wouldn't be dressing originally like she does now. If she wanted to fit in to what looked good to society she would dress like every other celebrity does out there, and since this is not the case she probably wont give in to the whole really skinny look as well to fit into the 'perfect' look to society.

You two are right about my point. From the pictures I’ve seen, Steffi sometimes wears outfits you could find at any store, but other times she wears the retro stuff. For a contrast, look at her style and then look at an Abercrombie catalogue or turn on MTV. She took heat for wearing bows on Idol, but I have no problems with her look. It shows that she’s comfortable with herself and that she isn’t a slave to the latest fashion trends or images.

I do. It's now on the CTV calendar. 9 - Steffi D co-hosts call-in radio show "Last Call" on 580 CFRA (Ottawa), from 12:00 to 2:00am. www.cfra.com/last-call/index.aspSo it's next week, presumably late Friday night/early Saturday morning like last time. I'll try to see if I can find another way of recording it. I wouldn't post the whole two hours because there was a lot of fluff on last month's show. But I'd like to upload a few of the best Steffi-related audio clips on the Net.
