go combatbaby!! ;D I was at a party on thursday... and I am only like 13. But my friend is growing up WAYY too fast! She was smoking weed and she was going to do ((you know what)) with someone she wasnt even going out with because they broke up. She was like "I think i was ready" and just for her saying that at sucha young age I want to poor ice water on her head and slap her out of it!! Me and two friends were watching a movie, but when they came downstairs after smoking and they REEKED! ugh it was disgusting! She creeps me out, so me and my friend went home at like 1:30. He fell asleep though so I dont know if he knew what was going on... but yeah. She is only thirteen and she is already starting to throw her life away!! She tried to get my other friend to smoke after me and my friend left, but she declined. She called her a baby, but then she was like "so be it then! i am a baby! its better than being like you!" mann... so much is going on lately. It just doesnt want to sow down.

Good story, ibow. If I were you, I'd avoid these kind of "parties" where illegal stuff is going on.
The thing I don't understand is peer pressure. If someone wants to waste his life and destroy himself, that's his decision. But don't try to convert others to that crap.
I laugh when that 13-year-old says she's ready for sex. I know I'm really strict on this, but sex is an adult activity--and to me, "adult" means you have a steady job and the financial means to support yourself as a contributing member of society.
That way, if the condom breaks or the Pill fails, you won't have to go out on the streets or rely on Mommy and Daddy to bail you out.
I know most high schoolers would call this unfair, but it's common sense. Poverty and crime would plummet if society followed this rule.
The problem is that society is encouraging people to stay adolescents well into their 20s. Instead, we should cut the fat out of education and speed things up so that teens can get good jobs when they're 16.

Wow. I agree if you should avoid those kind of parties. And if your friend thinks shes ready for sex and 13 then she has some problems. Not that its never happened before I know people who have done it even younger then that but I think its really stupid to do it at such a young age.

You also can't just look at the girl. I can almost assure you that the guy in question is not ready--in the sense that he'd bolt if any trouble came along.

It just doesnt want to sow down. thats CRAZY god, you think ppl these days would be smart enough to not do that.. I mean i'm only 13 aswell but i'm not really exposed to ppl like that cuz i live in a town of population 8000 (baha ) and my school has 500 kids.. so i know who most of the ppl are (not saying i'm friends with them all.. ) and i'm sure theres a few weirdos here and there but not as much as a city. but yeah if my friend did that i'd be like *smack aross the face (jk)* and give her a good talking to. (probably not.. i don't think i'm strong enough for that i'm 5"1 baha!) the world is weird thats all i have to say......

13 is WAY too young for anybody to consider having sex. i mean, it's not just a physical thing... later on, the person in question will realise what a mistake they've made by throwing away something so important. my friend is like that, she just hooks up with random guys... and no matter what i say to her, she just doesn't care... so i just gave up. i KNOW she's gonna regret it later on, she's just too much of a "typical teenager" to see beyond the present. but whatever. like i said, she's the one who's gonna regret it. not me. i have nothing to be ashamed of.

yeah, they can. and the thing is, they are generally SO MUCH SMARTER than their behaviour, so i just can't understand why they do what they do. it's not as though they aren't educated, so why?

I know!! I was told that it was just going to be a few people hanging out. And I was very uncomfortable the entire time. I was counting the minutes until I had to leave. I am never going to them again and I am going to give my friend a good talking to. She needs to see the harsh reality that NOTHING like that is as glamorous as she thinks it is. I might even consider ending the friendship. I dont want to hang out with someone like that. Like holy moly, we are just graduating grade 8, and she is ALREADY being stupid! I couldnt believe what I was hearing when my friend called me from the party. It makes me cry because my other friend is basically pissing her life away. GRR! I may not even speak to her on monday. I dont know, I am not confused about how I feel about the situation, but I am really confused about how I should deal with it. Should I tell her mother? Because her mum doesnt know about these parties (go figure)

I think if you talk to her then she doesnt listen then maybe you should tell her mom. Because if shes doing this now when your only in grade 8 its going to get A LOT worse when you get to high school.

it depends too; how deep is she into this? if it's really bad then maybe you should tell her mom... but try actually talking to her first.

Okay I talked to her today, and she FREAKED out! So I told her that I wasnt mad at her (although i am) but I am just concerned. And she got really mad, and then she tried to defend herself by saying things like "I wasnt all there, i drank and I smoked" and that was only making it worse if you really think about it. And then Lindsey was like "She is so lying. Trust me, I was there" and I got into a huge THING! And all day I have been in a really bad mood. Although coming onto this forum, listening to MCR, singing, and making graphics cheers me up lol. That is why there are so many graphics in my siggy aha! I am just trying to contain myself but it is hard.
My other friend is really preppy and that news was WAYY more than she could take. She is STILL processing it lol. And she is ashamed of her preppiness because she is never invited to these things... what she doesnt realize is that she isnt missing anything cool. She isnt missing out on anything but it would have been nice to have a friend there with me. But i wouldnt want to put anyone else in that position. AND her mum found out!! There was apperantly a dent in the wall(her mum is a neat-freak) and that there was alcohol missing. She tried to blame it on her older sister but her mum was just like "I hope you have learned from your mistakes".
And then she also said to me "HE asked me!!!" And I was like "You shouldnt be hanging with this kid. The fact that he would even ASK you is scary!"
Ugh.. i cant wait until its all over. If it ever ends.

Yeah, I've been in a bad mood today too. I'm trying to find a better job out there, and I've been writing lots of résumés and networking. But it's hard when my state is in a big recession and layoffs are happening left and right. And when I apply for out-of-state jobs, I never get any interviews.
The same is true for a lot of my friends who are still over here--they have bachelor's degrees and are doing jobs that they didn't go to college for.
However, I have an interview for a promising job next week. It's not in my current career field, but I have the qualifications, it's local and it would pay well. I'm doing research and preparation this week so I can impress them. Wish me luck!
