I loved to make fun of HSM when I first watched it, but I forgot most of the songs and dialogue since I haven't seen it in a year.

I was surrised. When I saw the commercial before it came out I was thinking it was a kidy version of that old movie "Super Star". But not exactly. The music and routines are awesome but when they started doing everything else it became way out of control. There was the concert, CD's, clothing lines, they all went seperate with their singing careers and now there's a sequel.
Movie: Yes
Everything else: over-rated

The most ridiculous thing about it is that the plot has been done so many times before, but the kiddies are too green to know any better. The acting and musical score are so lame, it's laughable. Too bad HSM has the Disney marketing machine to shove it down everyone's throats. It's like the Pokémon of all musicals.  |
