Just fresh from the CTV calendar:
April, 2007:
30 - Public reading of "Un Ruban Rose," a play by Steffi D at the Theatre Francais de Toronto
Too bad most of my French education was from elementary school, so most of the play would go over my head. Steffi needs to do what they have in some operas and put up subtitles! I'd pay to see her show if she did that.

We should probably talk a little bit about Steffi's upcoming plans on the CTV board to remind the other people there that she still is doing stuff. I might make a couple of posts tomorrow. Anyone care to join?

Her forum is still up. You have to go to the "Season 4" link to see her and the rest of the contestants. You can find old topics in her forum by adjusting how many days/months you want to go back.

CTV has an updated profile on Steffi: Steffi D Updated Mon. Jan. 29 2007 11:43 AM ET
Age: 17 Hometown: Orleans, ON Audition City: Ottawa, ON
Since finishing up with Canadian Idol, the unstoppable Steffi D has slipped right back into her old habits -- of doing everything she can possibly fit into her hectic schedule.
Before her stint on the show, Steffi was very active in community theatre and Puppets and People, a puppet troupe she founded with a close friend. After finishing the competition, she jumped back into her busy ways and into her last year of high school, but also adding a string of post-Idol appearances into her regime.
"I am continuing with acting, singing, puppeteering and a little tap dance here and there," she told Eye on Idol. "School is pretty boring but it's my last year so I'm trying to hang in there."
In addition to appearing as a guest on multiple Ottawa-area television shows, the gregarious Steffi D was invited to bring Puppets and People before the Canadian Senate for a national day dedicated to the family.
In her capacity as a singer, this multi-talented lady has appeared at a Remembrance Day event at the Canadian War Museum, the Governor General's Performing Arts Award gala and in front of the crowd at an Ottawa 67's game.
Her next big adventure will show off yet another talent: playwriting. On April 30, a play she wrote will be read by professional actors at Le Theatre Francais de Toronto.
Titled "Un Ruban Rose ou 2, 5, 4," the play won a young playwright's award in August, earning the honour of the staged reading and editing assistance from Dominique Lafon, a professional writer.
"I am very excited about this," said a gleeful Steffi.
As she counts down the days, Steffi is focusing on finishing her school year and has applied to university for the fall.

Steffi wrote a column about her CI experience in today's Metro magazine (See Page 40):
canadian idol experience
Steffi DiDomenicantonio “Steffi D” Canadian Idol’s Season 4 Top 5 finalist
The Canadian Idol Season 4 Top 5 competitor from Orleans, Ont., revs up fans for the upcoming new season by revealing what it was like being part of the hit singing competition.
On Aug. 22, 2006, in front of 2 million audience members, after a performance with country singer Martina McBride on the Canadian Idol stage, I found myself in the bottom two… Holding fellow contestant Eva Avila’s hand, nervously, host Ben Mulroney announced the name of the competitor for whom the journey had come to an end. After a long silence, the decision was made that Steffi D was heading home.
Lifted on the judge’s shoulders, I felt on top of the world, even though I knew that I had to close the suitcase of the greatest experience of my life. Without a doubt, I was sad to leave, but I was packing so many things with me: Friends for life, an unforgettable experience, a maturity not only as an artist but as a person.
That night, I left with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. Even though I was leaving, I was the happiest “girl with the bow” there could ever be!
Canadian Idol fed my passion and confirmed my love for the performing arts. It is my passion for theatre and singing that initially led me to audition. Knowing that I didn’t look or sound like the traditional pop singer, I went to the auditions not expecting too much.
Would I have ever dreamed of making it as far as I did? From one step to another, I remained astonished. Here I was in the Top 22 … Then the Top 10 … Then Top 5. What an adventure! So many challenges, so many unforgettable moments!
Every night of performance, once on stage and in front of the cameras, the adrenaline was racing through my body. The lights, the musicians, the theme song, the crowd, the screaming fans … I had a burning desire to perform with all the energy I possessed and express myself artistically. I might have had strange ideas at times but the Canadian Idol team helped me create what I wanted.
Back from this big adventure, it was so strange to be recognized in the streets. It was simply amazing to hear that I had been a source of inspiration for some and meeting young girls wearing a bow in their hair was the cherry on top!
One of my fondest memories is the friendships created during my stay in Toronto. Not only did we share the same house, we shared our sadness and our joys throughout this crazy roller-coaster ride.
And what can be said of all the celebrities we met? Roger Hodgson, Cyndi Lauper, Nelly Furtado — the list goes on. I received precious advice and I am so grateful that I got to share my passion with each one of them, along with all of Canada.
What a gift to have been able to make music all summer long! I had a passion and I was able to share it.
A word of advice to all of those like me: Take your passion for music and go for it! Prepare yourself for hard work. You will walk out of the experience a grown person.
Bow power forever!

The article is cool, but it's nothing new from what she has said in her post-Idol interviews and blog messages.
I'm ready to hear more about her play and any other events she is planning over the next couple of months. She'll also be hearing from the colleges over the next few weeks, so maybe she'll have some exciting news soon.
