The girls weren't that good yesterday. Melinda was good, and LaKisha was good in a boring way. Everyone else was average to bad, and Antonella stunk it up again with "Put Your Records On."
According to DialIdol, Haley, Sabrina, Stephanie and Antonella were all fighting it out for the bottom.

Barf. I don't think I'm going to watch this season anymore. Just about all the remaining contestants are boring. I hope Sanjaya knocks out all those boring-a** R&B divas out of there though, just to make Simon cry.

I can't be a Fantonella anymore. That's OK. That just sets her up to be the next Jennifer Hudson. BTW, can any male contestant be blander than Brandon Rogers? And can any female contestant be blander than Haley?

Sundance was no great singer, but he sometimes was interesting and comical. OTOH, Sanjaya is a decent singer but is so boring that it's actually funny. I'm still undecided about watching next week. It's supposed to be Diana Ross week, which fits with AI6's mission to find a Jennifer Hudson clone and recreate a Dreamgirls moment. Or something.

I read that Brandon Rodgers got kicked off, and Sanjaya was in the Bottom 2 (even though he was Top 3 on DialIdol). I saw his performance online earlier today. It was pretty bad.

It's no big loss. Brandon started off the night off-pitch, and his voice cracked at one point like he was entering puberty. Then he forgot the words and ran out of steam in the end. It was a bigger trainwreck than Sanjaya's performance.
I hope Sanjaya stays around. It's ironic that he's a boring singer because he really is the only interesting thing about this season. I now just watch the show on tape and fast-forward through performances that start out boring.

Did you listen to the studio versions of the songs on the AI site? He sounded good on that, haha. I loved Brandon, but he didn't do as well as he should have. Aww.

Tonight was probably the funniest episode of AI I've ever watched in my life. Sanjaya sang "You Really Got Me" for British Invasion night... and man, it was so awesome that you've got to see it to believe it. I'll post a link when I find one... I was literally ROFL. I power voted for him tonight, just because you guys can't vote where you're at. Sligh was also hilarious too. He gave a shoutout to the founder of Vote for the Worst tonight after his performance, and Simon looked really PO'ed. Simon also looked mad when guest coach Peter Noone told Seacrest flat out that Idol is a voting contest and not a singing contest. Overall, the contestants stepped up their game. Gina was the only one who did worse than usual.
