*CRIES* AWWE! One time that happened to me, and I swear my heart skipped a beat. Isnt it wierd though that he left JUST before we started to hear from Steffi alot more?? Steevie still might post on Idolforums under SteveIdolFan, but I rarely go to Idolforums. It was good when he was around because he used to add to the conversation, but I don't know what his problem is. It's like Steffi was his flavor of the week and then he left all of us without an explanation. Weird is right. I do know that a few people still talk on Steffi's thread on Idolforums. Someone should contact them and remind them about us. I just was over there today for the first time in months, and apparently one girl (erica yo, I think) saw Steffi host that musical theater fundraiser. What's sad is that the fan saw Steffi by herself drinking water at one point but didn't have the nerve to approach her. That's because someone from the event said that Steffi doesn't like to be treated differently as a result of her success. To me, that sounds like a misinterpretation. I can see Steffi not wanting people in her personal life to treat her differently. But I don't think she'd turn away a well-behaved fan at a public event, especially when she's not busy.

no, she wouldn't turn away a well behaved fan if they were to approach her and talk to her like a human being... freaking out too much kind of bugs her though.

She probably got a lot of stares and attention when she first came home. However, I can't see her being approached as much as four or five months ago. Most people move on, especially when the mainstream media isn't covering your every move.
Heck, some of the callers on her radio show don't know anything about Steffi or her stint on CI.

yeah, that's the thing about CI, if you don't watch it you have NO IDEA of what's going on. which is okay

Steffi is lucky that CI's prime demographic is preteen and teenage girls, and most of them won't go gaga crazy over her in the same way they'd go over Brandon or Tyler. It might've been a different story in America, where the audience for Idol is a lot larger and more diverse.
Some people are scary, so I don't blame Steffi for sometimes getting bugged. I remember that Peter guy on the old Piczo guestbook. He claimed that he called her house about being her special friend or something. I looked him up on MySpace, and the creep was 34 years old!
As I advance in my own life and career, I'll gladly accept money along the way. But I wouldn't want to be famous or anyone's "idol." Think about Elvis and having strangers not only touch you without your consent but tear off your clothes too. Even Taylor Hicks had some crazies trespass on his old residence and steal some plants from his yard.
I'm Steffi's fan because I want to see someone so nice fulfill her dreams without having to sell out. But it's nauseating to hear about the kind of things I mentioned earlier, and it ruins things for the genuine fans.

It's good that he stopped, and I hope he's the exception rather than the rule as far as her post-Idol life goes.
I know there are a few chosen Broadway superstars each generation. But does your average Broadway performer have fans outside of the acting community itself?
Performers usually only become household names when they cross over and appear on TV shows and movies. But most Americans are clueless as to who's performing on Broadway. As long as Steffi doesn't become tabloid and paparazzi fodder, she probably doesn't have to worry much.
I wouldn't raise an eyebrow if she or her parents gave him a polite "F*** off" with a threat to call the police on top. Peter didn't sound like the brightest guy in the universe, but I think he would get that message.
